If you’ve been looking to add a little alcohol kick to your dirty chai, look no further. The creaminess of Baileys is a chai must-try. A match made in heaven!
For the Baileys infusion:
5 oz Baileys Original Irish Cream
½ Cinnamon Stick
5 Cloves
8 Cardamom Pods
5 Peppercorns
3 Star Anise
1 Ginger Slice
For the latte:
1 Shot espresso
Whole Milk
Pour that delicious Baileys into a pan, and simply add all your spices. Bring to the boil, then simmer on a low heat for 4-5 minutes. Enjoy that delicious scent as those spices infuse! Then strain the liquid through a sieve to remove the spices.
Brew your coffee and pour into your favourite mug.
Pour the milk into a milk frother, and start frothing. Once it starts looking foamy, add the infused Baileys slowly until fully incorporated. (If you have a smaller frother, you may need to do this in two batches).
Add the foamed, infused-Baileys milk into your coffee and watch it deliciously marble together. Garnish with a dusting of ground cinnamon and a star anise.
